Johnny, its a new feature.
Every member is now able to view their own warning status (Nobody else can see your warning level)
The warnings you see are old ones from before the name change that went with the change of attitude m8 :yawinkle: :supz:

5 warnings result in banning, for how long is to be decided at time of banning, warnings are permanent and will not dissapear, however if you have a warning it should not matter as the whole point is to avoid them, so even if you do have some just make sure you do not get any more, we do not give wanings out right left and centre (well we should not anyway) and will also check with another mod on line before we give the warning (if possible)

No, A warning is a warning and it stays on, but it does not matter, only you know you have it (unless you tell someone) and as long as you dont get another 4 it makes no difference what so ever.

Its in the right hand corner of your post a scale from 1 to 5. One warning gives 20% then it goes up with 20 for each warning up to 100%.

For something so insignificant as a "chat" type of forum some people are taking this too seriously.

It seems abit over the top ,what if your in a heated discussion and all hells getting thrown at you ,and a rep takes side with the other party ,there,s always 2 sides to a story ,seems a bit unfair to be banned for life but so be it as i dont think ill be on here long if this keeps up ,if you cant have a bit of banter and a laugh ,its a public forum ,i understand keep it into line ,but the warning system only came out the other day and im on 40% .
Me thinks if they let me start from a clean sheet ill be happy .

GROW UP!!!!
To all of you that been whining like little kids:
This is the way the system works, if you dont like it, well your life must be boring if you spend so much energy on a bloody warning system!!
A few days ago people where begging to get Plumber banned, I then suggested to the rest of the admins and mods to tell you all about the warning system and make the warning bar visible to all members (only their own).
We had earlier agreed that we should do this and I tought this was the good time to do it. Many of you wanted Plumb banned, you did not know we already had a system in order and he was close to getting himself banned anyway, so I tought to show you all that we are on the ball and try to keep the place "tidy" then we tell you about the warning system.
Call it big brother, nanny state, whatever you want, if you dont like it on here why dont you just p**s off???
Its a forum a forum for gods sake, not a matter of life and death.
As for your warnings Hawkman, whats the big deal?? If you had not told everyone on the forum that you have 40% no one would have known and as long as you did not start posting the bl**dy sh**e again that you used to do you would never had got another warning so what difference would it make??
If you feel that you need to be cleared so you can fool around a bit again without getting banned then you are on the forum for the wrong reason in the first place.
Why does not someone start a forum for bull shi* and stupid posts and leave this one to falconry??
No wonder that this forum will go down hill, belive me, its not a fantastic place to be a moderator on and Im getting so sick of this!!

Surprisingly a good number of us do like being on here! Yet not all of us are prepared to go along with whatever Admin and the Mods decide to foist upon us without making some comment upon the matter. This forum has value to many of us and excessive governance by diktat tends to raise hackles!
This morning GregMik and myself were discussing in the chatroom just how the forum could be improved. This forum is going to have to evolve to enable it to grow and prosper. For a mod to take the time to objectively discuss forum development with myself, well known for my anti-pc views, is highly commendable. Perhaps a little more two-way communication and less authoritarian decrees would be of benefit to us all.

A quite vehemant rant, involving quite a bit of bad language that we really don't want the junior members here reading. But I guess that because it's in favour of the system it wont warrant a warning :)

Think someone needs to come down off her high horse??
I havnt posted much on this thread but have been reading it...and have to say that this has got to be the most abusive, foul mouthed post on here to date. Is that allowed because you're a moderator...to tell people to p**s off?? Are people not allowed an opinion? Johnny has been on this forum from the start and happens to be well thought of by a lot of people on here...so what, you're a mod?
Mod's come and go love...we've seen quite a few, and if the job of modding the site is becoming so mundane maybe you should p**s off with them?
The reason people objected so strongly as when it was first put on the forum..it came across as a new system. It was worded poorly. This is not just my opinion but the opinion of quite a few members. If it was an amendment to the current system then why wasnt that said?
As for whining like little kids...i work with primary school children and your little outburst resembles their behaviour far more than any of the other posts i've read? It is the forum members that make the forum...not the moderators...keep that in mind!!
Tim Laycock

It is the forum members that make the forum...not the moderators...keep that in mind!!
I disagree with this to a degree
The forum is not solely made by the members, Its the Administrators, Moderators and the Members in no particular order that make the forum what it is.
With just mods and admin it would be dead and with members alone it would be chaos.
The whole thing as we know it is dependent on both sides of the coin.
