Honest answer:

Sit down and write it. hen edit it, then re-write it and then re-write it again. It is all about hard work.

ps (Spar bell is on the block)

I would need to look it up to be accurate, but I am pretty sure I read recently that there are 45 books published EVERY MINUTE. Not all these find a market.

Writing the book is the easy part. The next problem is to find a publisher.

Not many publishers will look at a manuscript unless it is submitted by an agent.

An agent will not usually take on a client who does not have a track record.

I would not deal with any publisher without either an agent or being a member of The Society of Authors who will vet the contract for you. There are many bad publishers, i.e. crooks!

Quite a few writers publish their own books. This is a lot easier now everyone has gone electronic. So that makes it easier and quicker to lose money and go broke!<g>

But even if you go this route, it will not be cheap. You will need a book designer or typographer. Cost £2.50 - £5 a page upwards. Printing might reasonably cost £5 a copy upwards for, say, 1,000 copies. A nice glossy cover might cost £1 each, not to mention the design.

Then you have to market your book and get it sold....

Do a Google on Biddles, or Cromwell. There are other printers who do short runs and lean over backwards to help self-publishers. There are companies referred to as "vanity publishers". Basically, you pay them money and they guarantee to "publish" your book. It appeals to the vanity of bad writers, hence the name. It is usually a rip off.

Writing for film is an entirely different ball game but I think I'd better stop there and leave it to you to ask specific questions! There are plenty of books to help you if you are serious, but as another poster has said, just get on with it and write. If it is any good, someone will publish it at THEIR expense, not yours.

Buy a copy of..The Writers and Artists Yearbook which is published by A & C Black...available from all good booksellers at £13.99 and currently on it's ninety ninth edition. It will tell you all that you want to know. There is also a writers magazine called Mslexia which is available on subscription directly from the publishers......www.mslexia.co.uk
The magazine is aimed at women who are published or trying to get published
but it is a mine of relevant information for any writer, male or female. Just that, if you are male, you cannot get copy accepted by that particular magazine.

As the OP doesn't seem able to manage a simple "thank you" the proposed book would seem to be a figment of his imagination!<g>

Good advice above, though. Good link too. THANK YOU!!

As JM said, when you write it, the hardest part is to finde publisher or somebody who will be your sponsor, if you don't have enough money.
I had very big luck that my publisher gave me almost whole amount of money and very good contract-I have all copy rights
Well maybe that was cos nobody did it before me in Croatia
