Hi peep's!,
Quick question that I hope someone can help me with.
Merlin has half chewed through 1 of his new primaries, it's not hanging but I was wondering if there was anything I could or should do about it?.
He's always rough with his preening so I'm sure it will get worse.
Any ideas?

Is it a new one or old one?
Has he been sprayed for mites?

Which primary? I had a harris who regularily grew 'nasty' first primaries on both wings, which he would eventually pull out in the blood - not good. This stopped completely once I freelofted him.

Cut it of at the break and imp it............As long as it is hardpenned of course......

I think it would be too thin to imp at the break and unfortunately it would have to be another kind of feather unless you can find a buzzard one.

But if is is orritated by his own good ones an imped one will be ripped out for sure.

Or cut it at the break.......if in blood block the end of the shaft up and leave it until it is hardpenned then imp it...........
