Personally having a bit of a 'barny' is a hilarious distraction from the real stuff of falconry....Remember that stuff?????? you know, the flying, the hunting, the adventure, the eating, the writing and furniture making etc etc
Newbies reading it should be exposed to it as it gives a warts and all picture. Some of the BEST arguments are between the MOST EXPERIENCED.
Bottom line....just avoid those you don't like, SIMPLE.

This is one of the rare occasions that I actually agree with you fully  But it does get a bit nasty when it degenerates into schoolboy/girl name calling and slagging that achieves nothing.

This is just my opinion I joined this site to talk learn falconry. One night I looked in loged on & the topic which seemed of the most interest to people was someonelses marital problems. Perhaps they'd have been better off watching East enders, Coronation st. The really sad thing was that more people had visited the site of this persons misery, than any falconry related topic.

If you think about it there's nothing like this site. It is addictive. The accumulated knowledge of this groups members must be phenonemal. When I first started falconry all I had was a few books by people like G Blaine, G Lasscelles, H Ap Evans. I had to work the rest out for myself. I wrote to the BFC who were really helpful, put me in touch with a potential mentor in south Yorks, but I was only a kid from what they now call a single parent family & couldn't afford to go.

If there'd been something like this available. So much acrued knowledge & experience there for the asking. How easier it could have been! What I'm really trying to say is value what you have here. This can be/is a great site it would be a real shame if the most knowledgeable people left. Don't F*** it up over petty squables!
