Ive only been a member a short time and have not much experiance in falconry but have flown hawks and have basic knoledge of housing a BOP but since been on here witch i enjoy ive never known such ******** in my life i thought it was the place to be for learning and educating and the people that are taking the time out to actually ask basic questions get slagged i know its an open forum but id be scared of asking its just too clicky and everybody seems to follow suit on a thread im here to learn and apreciate good advice but education and making us newbies more welcome would be better . im not having a go i love it on here but just some threads i just think oh my god chill

Im not trying to be clever but me for one looking forward to getting a harris for next year would be glad of some good advice not sarcastic **** and your not ready im trying to be . HELP PLEASE but i might have to wait a while the breeder i want to use is booked this year so il have to wait.

There is a lot of knowledge on this forum and a lot of info for you to glean.
You can get the answer to a lot of your questions by typing in the subject in the search box.
Never be afraid to ask questions, it is the only way forward.
And remember even the most pompous, bigotted falconer was a beginner once ,without a clue what to do.

i totally agree with you mate im new to this forum but not to falconry and cos im new to this forum some ppl treat me like ive just been born ! most ppl give good advice on this forum and there are some good posts but other times ppl jus stick there noses in and they dont know you or your backround in falconry or what you are planning to do.

but i supose there are ppl like this in all hobbies really u jus got to put up with them

My local falconry club meets when im not free unfortunatley so its nice to have a place like this to go to 24 7 when you need help its like a falconry 999

This place is just like any other forum. I will state this again. There is 10% absolute BS, 80% harmless banter, and 9% good and 1% absolute gems of information. You just have to realize that and have a thick skin about it and you will be fine.

Never be afraid to ask a question! If you have a problem with another member badgering you just give one of the mods a holler, that is what we are here for.
