Her diet is good always looking for food but in this week she vomits twice and her mutes contain indigestible meat…

Although I am giving her boneless meat.

What should I do?

Dear M8, there are many Veterinary clinics here but all of them are specialized in Dogs, Cats, Poultry and Dairy etc…

That’s y I have asked some Suggestions, although I am treating her with our local Medicines as our gr8 Falconers told but I would also like to hear from experienced Falconers (from this Forum).

Passing undigested meat and vomiting is not a good sign - try and find someone with avian experience, even a poultry vet is better than nothing. Ideally swabs need taking to check for parasites/frounce/candida/bacteria etc blood samples +- xrays/endoscope etc. Without a diagnosis there is no way to suggest a cure. Check the mouth for any obvious lesions, what do the faeces/castings looks like??

I suspect Coxi, will send some medicine to the lad tomorrow. Have had the same symptoms with some of my birds at times.

Sorry to kick in but why boneless? Are you giving some calcium to her a way or another? Boneless meat without calcium supplementation is a sure way to kill a hawk... Surely you do but that wasn't clear.

With all due respect,

This is not my saker and I had never faced this kind of problem with my Sakers…

I got this saker 5 days back from a man who has gone for some vacations or so…
Can u believe she was hooded on that time and temperature here in Lahore is above then 40 °C. Then I just unhooded her and put her in a room where cooler is ON 24hrs.

The day I got her I feed her as I should a pigeon with the skin and bones but in the morning she vomited whole meat…

After that I am giving her boneless meat so she can digest it easily, and of course I am giving her some medications, As Turumti guiding me. (Always Helps).

Sprout I will do so as u suggested.

Thanx to all.

The important thing with coccidiosis is to supplement vitaminB - if you have access to a microscope PM me and I will tell you how to perform some simple tests to try and get a diagnosis - or at least rule some things out, if you can't get to an avian vet. Fluids are more important than solids.

Hyperthermia - been hooded in a hot environment may also cause a bird to vomit, is the Saker any better today or still vomiting??

Thats what i say help.:supz:

Truly don’t know how to use Microscope, but I will try to take some sample of faeces and castings to the vet’s lab and let u know what they say.

Well Sprout she is doing fine till now and from 3 days did'nt vomit. :)
