ok paddy started the supplement thread and i just wondered if any-one uses this product?
if so what do you think of it?the breeding supplements sound like raptor viagra pmsl just read it http://www.vitahawk.com/vitahawkFrame.htm

and the maintenance is just day to day supplements

so has anyone used them over here? if so youre views plz

I've used it for years A-G. I feed mostly fresh food i.e. starlings & sparrows, so I probably don't see as much of a difference as some. I do use it to raise my eyass birds when I have them, grind it up with quail/starling mix. It seems to work fine, and the birds don't mind the taste. Most of my friends swear by it, both breeders and falconers in general.

I use Vitahawk on almost every meal for my birds....

I use it for all "my" birds for years... Never had a problem, and I heard from zoo vets and nutritionists that it's the best vitamin suplement for b.o.p.'s.

I used vitahawk for 8 months on my Harris and Red Tail and saw pretty much no difference than just feeding them normally. I did however switch to provital and immediatly...well not immediate say about a week or so, saw a difference. So I would have to say that vitahawk is not my favorite. I also went and saw my vet and asked him about it and he told me that (in not so many words) vitahawk was the same thing as crushing a "flinestone vitamin" for kids up and giving it to them. He did however recommend provital to me...something about the minerals being chelated and it being easier to digest. he also told me that it had probiotics in it to help the "assimilation" (sorry big trekkie fan) of all the vits and mins. so in other words i would have to say that if any1 asks me which 1 i reccommend it would most deffinately have to be provital.....wow that almost sounds like a testimonial!:supz:
