Of the videos I've seen, two really stand out for me:

Road to Bakersfield - and american vid and the opening bit with red tails taking on jack rabbits from the soar in huge stoops is just awesome! It also captures the whole feeling around getting ready and heading out into the field.

Northumberland Crow Falcons - ignore the commentary and just watch the flights, but then I always have had a soft spot for those pointy wing things. This shows one of best practising a branch of falconry as good as it gets.

Also, I can also recomend Nick Fox's Birds of Prey Management series of videos, particulary the health care, fitness training and basic training videos. See their web site: http://www.falcons.co.uk/default.asp?id=5

ive seen quite a few vids etc but there are few really good ones.
most are full of speel on equipment and training etc and not much cop.
ive not seen road to bakersfield but really want to see it. so anyone out there got a copy then id be willing to buy it.

nick fox series are really good, packed with good info etc.

i had plans to make my own as most that ive seen did not come up to the standards of flights i was getting with my own birds. so i got a camcorder and took it out with me last season. 10 min and my fingers were frozen and i couldnt hold the thing steady etc also, you waste a lot of film as you never know when something will happen.

so it aint easy but perhaps this season i shall get more film and edit it together . it may take a few more seaosns though.

this film has something ive never seen on any other film.
a bird getting fried on power lines. that was pretty graffic and gruesome.

True but atleast they gave you warning of it coming up! It hits home a bit harder than either someone telling you about it or reading it in a manual and certainly makes you avoid the powerlines/ transformers.

If you like the pointed-wingy things then the American falconer Steve Chindgren's recent video "House of Grouse" is the best I've seen. "Road to Bakersfield" is probably the best all around video with both longwing and shortwing flights at all sorts of game. There's also a new video out about Eagle Hawking jacks in the U.S. called "Eagle Journal: The movie". I haven't seen it but I read the journal online and it was awesome so I'm hoping to get the movie for Father's Day...
