Superfast, out of period moult

My harrys work during all summer in bird control on vugnards, they have to jump over the moulting period in full flying/hunting capabilities, so they dont drop any feather untill we finish our job which is by the beggining of autum. I overfeed them and let them relax, they do a garden moulting , taking baths often, enjoing the cold / short days as we enter in the winter. I feed them on pigeon, partridge, quail and chicken heads...They are moulting very fast, they are throwing beautifull new feather...

They deserved this vacation...

How fast? My MHH flying throught the moult and he is nearly moulted all of his feathers.

last year and the year before I had to keep my male HH going until the beggining of august at a very tight weight, as he was doing film work, and I couldnt afford for him to spend any time mucking around, when I put him up in weight he vertualy clean moulted in 6 weeks flat, he had so many new feathers coming down at the same time it was like handling a chick.

Not somthing that I would wish on him on a regular basis. the sheer amount of food that I was having to feed him to prevent fret marks and keep him at a good weight was astounding. This year he has had a steadier moult and is currently about half way through.

Not out of period but Star is almost finished her moult started mid march she has a few body feathers left and abought 4 wing feathers lost last three tail feathers in two day,s this is her first moult so dont knowe how long it normaly takes she has been fed on fresh food and frozen from doc to venison
and what a difrencein a dird in such a short time carnt wait for the season to start all the best dave

how fast?, dropping feathers at least as twice as fast as on a regular moulting from previous seasons. On one month dropped 10 tail feathers!!!. That fast!...
