Time wasters

Bloke came around a few days ago to look at my few remaining pere/barbaries, he seemed genuinly impressed and ordered one, come back on thursday , pick it up and pay for it! thurs morning, i got up early on my one and only day off this week and waited for his call? no call? rang him eventually got him, im going into a meeting at 2pm should take an hour? be up 3.30! 4pm till 7pm rang him a couple of dozen times, not answering his mobile, had got the bird out the pen , jessed and everything ready for him! ive put the bird back in the pen and he can basically **** off now! time wasting ****! a phone call saying he had changed his mind or wasnt going to be able to make it would have been ok! i wasted a whole day waiting for this useless git!

He should of been sincere with his intentions in the first place mate nothing worse than a messer BB and £350 seems a decent price to me for a quality bird what on earth is going on in some peoples mind doing things like this.

That's the price we all pay when breeding birds. I get those time wasting calls. Everyone does. I just MAKE SURE to remember who did it to me so I can do it to him if he ever calls again. Got a very nice peales tiercel sitting in the other room. This time the buyer had a good excuse so I didn't make too much of a deal. The bird that pays is the tiercel. He's a sweetie but I'm sure if I advertise someone will want him.

Similar sort of things happen in the building trade at times ,few times I've bought in or ordered a complete central heating system,booked the week to do the job and i get a phone call one or two days before the job starts,"sorry I forgot we're on holiday next week" or "Just balanced the finances and can't manage it til next month.". Some ppl don't realise how annoying this sort of thing is,in your cases 6 birds between you to find homes for very quick. In my case no chance of booking a weeks work over a weekend so loss of a week.A lot of money between us.Brian

bb i had more or less the same thing yesterday.
had some one suppose to come look at a female ak .after six olock never turned up after me waiting.as some one said it takes a phone call to so they arnt coming. messers, the thing is if you let THEM, down there the first to start crying.?:evil:

Just do as I do, I work closely to one or two breeders, and close friends to that are breeders. We Just pass the names between us. And before long they have no port to call in.

No Ben it was said by a GOOD mate to be true.He had sold him a really white Gyr/Saker which lasted a couple of weeks he then found out of all the others.
There are plenty of time wasters ordering birds mind you.I can remember one guy ordering the first female harris three years on the trot...never bought one.Thats almost 30 years ago I still speak to him though...foolishly!!!!!

The reason why the breeder laid these conditions down, was for reasons that is being mentioned on this thread this is that people kept messing him around. No body likes to be messed around there is nothing worse than a messer, the way he does it ensures some repayment should a messer turn up. Also people who genuinly want one will pay.

i reckon if you choose the bird you want from the nest then full price should be paid and for any unforeseen circumstance should arise ie death of the chick while still with the parents then a efund should apply that way no messing about will occur and will only get itendid serious buyers

Well he needs to be jumped all over (metaphorically speaking mind ;) ) and be named so no other unsuspecting breeder sells their hawks to him........stupid tool.

I am in no doubt that the guy covered i this thread is the guy who I thought. The static display I saw was at Royal Quays at North Shields and there was a young lady on her own doing the display. I will say that the birds seemed in good condition, but I wasnt keen on how she would allow Redtails and EEO's to sit on the fist of a young 4 year old boy. After the mother had taken photographs she started to ask the girl a lot of questions cause she was genuinly interested. I heard everything cause I was standing right next to them. The girl from the display stated that they were always busy and taking the birds home everynight was a pain. She said that the birds were happy just to stay in their travel boxes in a back of a trailer which she left overnight at the rear of the shopping centre carpark.
I am definately not lying on this one cause I heard it. (I think Ive already said that).

As far as 17 birds dying, I guess this can never be proven. However, even half of this number is a matter of concern that should be addressed. I am sure that the council would have something to say about it regarding his performing animals licence.

In terms of facilities of Keith, I have seen them on numerous occassions, and have ordered birds from him (even though you dont do females you ****). His facilities are spot on considering he is a small scale breeder. His birds are very well conditioned and of good bloodlines. I would not even talk to a breeder if his facilities were undesirable. What you also find is that Keith is a very approachable bloke who openly shows and displays his breeding facility to show that he has nothing to hide. I know that there are a number who have dealt with him on here with regards to birds and I am sure that I could be backed up on this one.
