Just doing my set up buying 12v cameras of ebay £12 for dome camera one over the nest one covering the avairy. These are coloured and with sound, putting these on a multiplexer 16 channel so can see all cameras at once , bought my multiplexer last year new of ebay £75 god i love ebay:heart:
The most expensive is the cable extention which i buy of a friend as its going under ground.;)
Thats about it one last thing :-P ive gone for fixed focus this time to save messing about in the breeding season,

a Multiplexor is basically a hub to connect all you cameras to, and then displays all the images on the screen simultaniously, and most when connected to a VCR or PC will record whats on the screen, or can record each image seperately in turn etc. Some of the better ones have a built in hard drive like in your pc and can record any of the images full screen when movement is detected etc. As far as wires go, it depends if you are using wired or wireless cameras, if you use wireless, then you simply connect the receiver for each camera to the multiplexor, 1 per channel.
