Autobahn last year on the way to Prague, did 178mph on my GSXR, and did 192mph on friends R1. Done the clock on my 530 Sport which like all German cars is governed to 155, that was on the way back from Paris as we were late for the Ferry!

I'm a little confused how you keep that many wheels on the ground at that speed??
Used to do some hair razing powerboat racing when I was younger.
I used to hold a record for the fastest speed recorded by a small craft (under 11 ft bow to stern) in South africa in the early '90s. I think its been broken a few times since then, but 123.7 Mph with about half a centimeter between your as* and the surface of the water helps you stay very focused.

I'm not joking when I say the craft would simply sink if you put the propeller in neutral.

I hit the limiter (155mph) in a Lotus Carlton on the A9 a few years back, took both number plates off and bezzed it through the speed cameras, now that was F*****g scary. The damn thing drank a quarter of a tank from Perth to Stirling, cost me a fortune but worth it.

Also got pulled over for doing 73mph in a 50 on my 50cc Scooter, got let off cos they thought the camera must be out. Ahh.. the art of slipstreaming combined with the stupidity of the local plod, a match made in... somewher not clever.

Feb 1983 146mph ( as indicated by traffic cops at gunpoint:shock:  ) on a florida turnpike travelling to Daytona raceway from Fort lauderdale in a ferrari 308 or 328 QV ( can't remember which one ) loaned to me by one of my sponsors
on my own approx 160 mph after having left aforesaid Rg just before daily express bridge (after abbey) ( exactly same session that Bazzer had had his prang prevous year, although I hobbled away from it with broken ankle, ribs and shoulder blade ;o)

About 285kmh in a bmw 850ci (same basic engine as the mclaren f1 before it gets tweeked a bit!). Amazingly 174mph in a new Saab aero gt 2.0l turbo! Verified by the gps aswell! Although 80 in an old isuzu trooper diesel turbo felt the fastest by far!

Gsxr 600 (K4) will do a nice 165 on the clocks if you push it.., don't worry about the flighty front end never had a problem myself infact i've found the front coming right up on the 750 at 130mph alot of fun once you get used to it:-D - and looks awsome (especialy when you fly past a fireblade doing it:-P)
get more weight over the front bars- problem solved:-D
