how much longer(moult)

my male h/h has been in the moult since march im a bit unsure has to how many more feathers he needs to throw so far 32 has been thrown i dont want him to go into a 2nd moult how many does he need to throw ??thyanks milo.

he wont go into a second one till next year... check the feathers and look for the blood in the shaft. he will be ready long before the season starts (if thats what your waiting for?) cant remember how many feathers there are.

i believe there are 11 or 12 in the tail

going back to my first qestion i stated that would he go into a 2nd moult would it not matter then if i kept him at his fat weight untill he throws no more feathers or would this harm him in any way:rolleyes:

i think theres 6 sets in the tail and about 21 sets on thewings, but not sure

milo chill ...he still got a few more to go yet ....let the moult happen he wont go into another moult....good quality food and wait for colder days :lol: ;)

keep him fat till hes all done growing the very last feather and then you can drop his weight, he wont come to any harm.
