I have had the crappiest week yet this year!!
I have just learned I will be jobless by the end of October and to cap it all I was supposed to finish work @ 4.30pm and the bloody landrover has got a flatty. Arse. AND on top of that, I've left the bottle jack at home under a bloody trailor. God hates me, I'm now going to go and tw*t a couple of spotty moped riders with a scaffold pole.
There should be a forum for 'Miserable ******** who want to vent the spleens'.
Arse!! Arse!! Arse!!

You have to laugh though, the car p*ssed me off the most and the ensuing debacle of no jack and no means of getting the bloody wheel off.

This os the 3rd time (i've been made redundant) so I'm not too worried, redundancy will go towards a new aviary complex and bird!!! .........as long as the missus doesn't find out.

Hello Talon
Used to go to the Centre when JPJ was in charge, stopped the day she left. I am a management accoutant, so getting a new job shouldn't be a problem.

i wouldnt fancy a week like that, just for future reference though, if you keep a nice block of wood in your landy that is longer than the distance between your axle and the floor, its possible to jam it at an angle between these two points, stick the truck in 4wd (low) and "drive the axle up into the air" making wheel removal possible...
an old army trick.:yawinkle:
keep your eye open for a new job, one that pays higher might come along!
in the meantime keep an eye open for any slip/trip/injury hazzard at work.
get someone else to report it then the next day, if its unactioned and you have "an accident" a nice negligence claim for an injured back will see you keep a salary for as many months as you see fit (over the hunting season would be nice) you might get some compo too!
disclaimer*
obviously you could only do this in the case of a "real accident" ahem!

I'm impressed I'll try that next time.
Anyhow, this isn't where the story ends. My other half turns up bless her with the jack, and I take the wheel nuts off and put them on the rear drivers side bumper, whilst I get the spare off of the back. I'm merrily pumping away...on the botttle jack when I here a metalic noise, thought nothing of it changed the wheels over, came to putting the wheel nuts back on, (remembering where I had left them), but they weren't there!!! However there is a drain under under where they should have been and the grille was obviously wide enough to allow the nuts down. 'My path to greatness is littered by cowpats from the devils own satanic heard' or words to the affect of (Blackadder IV). Lets face it I can't find my arse in the bath some days.
