dp we have to be members and have a bird 1st? I have no idea how these work? Colchester is only 25 minutes from were we are - my husbands family are from Wivenhoe and Colchester so we know it fairly well. Were are the meetings and would we be able to go to the next one?

no you dont have to have a bird or join up straight away, just go along have a chat n a drink. i hadnt built me aviary or anything when i first started going, had a couple of the guys come out n give me a few pointers when i started building me aviary they were a great help.
they meet in the whalebone in fingringhoe 8-8.30 u cant really miss us we stand out a bit!
we used to live in wivenhoe a couple of years ago the top end by the football ground that was my first permission i got to fly me bird

i will ask the hubbie if we can come and have a chat next time then!! In a pub, even better!! I don't know Wivenhoe all that well, Im orginally from the Manningtree area and my parents are still there which is excellent for babysitting while we go. It is nice to know that there are clubs nearby! Are there any people closer who would be prepeard to mentor? Once i have passed my driving test (which is next month- not feeling hopeful) traveling wont be such a problem.
