Hi,
I will try to keep it short....
Got interested when I was about 5 or 6 - I lived in Germany (forces) and a guy used to keep falcons/hawks at a riding stables...and so it started.
Started to get involved properly when I was about 14/15 working after school/holidays at a falconry centre. Professional display falconer in Yorkshire for a couple of years, flew bop for a couple of years after that and then sadly got a 'proper' job. Hadnt got the time to dedicate so passed my birds on to a couple of friends.......the rest they say is history.
Now working and based in East London.
Short enough I hope;)
Hi Mass,
What is all that about?? Can you explain (as you would to a small child) what the hell in gods name I need to do???

Hi Jackson,
What I like about Falconry.......god how much time have you got?? To put it simply.....To start a 'journey' with a bird, any bird. It begins however young (parent reared) with an absoloute fear and loathing of its new 'master', over time it begins to 'tollerate', eventually it begins to 'trust', but no matter what, at no time are you to be fooled into thinking that he/she needs you. You are there for as long as he/she feels fit, enjoy the ride.....!!!
Oh yeah and seeing a falcon that you have trained steaming across the sky at something that may be much larger than she and without the slightest fear is nothing short of awesome!!!
