any tips for asking permission to get land

Has anybody got any tips they could give me about getting flying land from farmers?

For flying a to the lure, I know with a HH you could say you could help with the rabbit population, but what could I say for a Lanner falcon? The whole land issue will be the deciding matter on what bird I chose.

the biggest problem i found was actualy calling when the farmer is home,obviously they spend a lot of time in the field, the other major obsticle is shooting, if the farmer has cash comming in from a shoot he will not want b.o.p on the land, the best advice i can give is, get on you're p.c and make up some calling cards, bussiness type cards with a basic discription of you're intentions i.e hunting with you're falcon, you're address and phone number, if the farmer aint in pop one in he's letter box, basicly the way to go about it is to find some suitable land, drive arround and knock on every door you come accross, first impresions count so go dressed appropriately, try and look as if you belong there, and no matter how small the permision you get grab it, even if its one field, you can always get the neighbouring land once you're trusted more, in a nut shell there aint no easy way of getting land it's a matter of the more calls you make the sooner you'll get that parmision, another tip, but i admit more for the rabbit hawker, is to drive along the lanes and look out for road kill, road side warrens and crop rabbit damage, that has got to be a bonus toward getting that land.
