Hi All,

Just thought i would introduce myself, I am very very keen to start the falconry hobby or should i say way of life?!!

This is something i have been interested in for a long time but until know have had other things to occupy my time, Now i have made the decision to undertake this hobby,

I have ordered a few books online and have been visiting various sites doing some reading, I know and i am prepared to do as much learning as i can with PATIENCE!

I live in fife and very close to 2 falconry centres which i plan to personally visit to ask a few questions and find out if they can assist me in any way.

My current location is that i live in west fife, scotland less than 1 mile from one of europes biggest country parks with hectares of land to fly. I also have a friend who owns a farm and have free reing over that to when i eventually get to the stage when i will be ready for my first charge.

Hope all you guy's don't mind giving advice because there will definately come a time when i will be bombarding this site with questions.

Cheers Guy's,

Paul.

i actually toyed with the idea as a youngster, i have been brought up with shooting, fishing etc most of my life. I was away as a younster most weekends with my father and uncle's etc.. shooting rabbits, pheasants, geese, hare and woodies.

I always when i can attend game fares, i've been to a few gun dog trials etc. My Old mate ( My Yellow Labradour has just died ) a well trained gundog "NOT" he was 14! I kept polecats when i was young for netting rabbits, I just love the country life style, being away in the middle of nowhere, no noise, fresh air.

i don't mind the gore factor etc... i actually butcher deer etc... learned that from an old butcher and the net!

And Bop are very fascinating, hunting, habits, etc..

Cheers,
Paolo
