Czech Meet

Few mates are going to the czech meet, and im thinking of going, but only if its worthwhile bringing rolf, and i dont wanna leave him at hunting weight for a week mid season. is it ok to bring your own birds and is tehre any pheasent/rabbits or all deer and hare?

reckon little rolf could handle em lol? and what way does it work bringing your own bird? is the phessies part of the meet? or i have to look for the permission myself?

sean you would have to find out if it was ok to take your bird and also if he would have to go into guarateen ??

hmm didnt think of that, just know that its like 110 euros extra to take him, while the flight is only like 30 euros for myself lol

Id say leave him at home for this time mate, after you have been once you'll know the score better for next time. Best of going and watching different branches of the sport that you would not normally get a chance to witness.

it would be a complete waste of time and money to take Rolf.

just go with your mates and enjoy the other birds hunting....oh and the cheap beer!!!

Well i had a look at the website and what can i say, the prices, even a scotsman and yorkshire man would be happy, an utter bargain!!!!!!!
Balloon - Kite Sky Trial fee is 100 CZK (or EUR 5).

Falconry meeting fee for 3 hunting days including hunting licence, insurance and 4 nights in a double room in hotel Opočno is EUR 145.

Falconry meeting fee for guests or falconers without birds including 4 nights in a double room in hotel Opočno is EUR 95.

A better hotel Holub with available single rooms is for extra EUR 50 making total price of EUR 195 for hunting falconers and EUR 145 for guests or falconers without bird.

No deposit is required, but accommodation cannot be guaranteed for falconers arriving later than 18:00 on Wednesday Oct. 11th

Game fees for successful falconers are as follows:
Hare EUR 20 per piece
Pheasant and duck EUR 15 per piece

The game is a property of the falconer.
