Are these on all feathers, tail, wing etc. fret marks from stress go across and I am sure if it was caused from damage where the bird is kept, you would know. I am not a vet and pretty thick realy, but is it possiblethat it is due to your climate or a deficiency in some form. Like heat may dry the feathers, or lack of "oil" in the feather???

The inside of a feather has an indentation, but not usally as severe as this, the quill is mostly calcium so could be a deficency, otherwise if previous feathers the same, could be abnormal each season, depending on how deep, could also be quite weak, suggest cut feathers in half for closer look internally at structure.
