Hi All
Here is a glimpse of the new "Sultan Eagle" (along with other M-J Eagle hoods) .... this one was a bit small for that large male that was here today (would fit a large European male)..... pics of a fitted hood will appear over the weekend :D

Griff although the new Sultan hood pattern is good I still prefer the Kazakh hood, it also leaves more scope for you produceing identical style hoods but with slight differences in my case between Male and Female hoods. There is nothing better than presenting a pair of hunting Goldies in almost matching hoods. The Female will take quite a bit of work to get to the Hunting stage as she has sat around for too long but a month in the Hack Pen will help sort her out once we have shipped our Falcons.

Hi All
Brand new style of "Kazakh 2" slip on hoods... they are fully lined like the Slijpers and have glued eye seams with a sewn in throat band..... and they are "Mink Oil" treated for water proofing .....giving a matt finish to the hood. They are a "soft" fit to start with and also a better gripping fit at the back of the head...... this hood is on the Burkut male as seen in the photos above..... and its just been fitted to him :D :supz: More pics tomorrow in the daylight.

Hi All
As promised some daylight pics of the new pattern Kazakh 2..... the way this hood has been made means that its cant be shaken or scratched off. The sewn in neck band also smooths down the Eagles "Mantle" as well and because its fully lined it will ensure no feather wear with use of the hood.
The hood seen below needs a couple of minor adjustements to expose the soft gape fully .... but as you can see this is not bothering the eagle at all.

Hi All
The new version of the Kazakh 2 has a fully lined interior and a sewn in neck band. The eye seams are now bonded to allow for detailed tooling and maximum room in the eye wells. The top hoop has been reduced in size to avoid "face whip" and made more sturdy.

that latest hood is the absolute dogs, wow,
i began using your eagle hoods last year after some jock fella called niel told me about them!
they are as i see it essential to good eagle hawking, the birds like them, what could be more important than that. they make things so much easier in the early stages, and later the birds all but hood their selves.
,previosly i have used others with a lot mor difficulty and resistance from the birds.

Awwww shucks... :D Many thanks PBO.... I aim to please.... and always improve...... the Kazakh Hunter is still being tweaked to get the best possible fit out of it..... but its a steady process ..... I have just done some minor alterations again to improve on the soft gape fit.
This hood from what it was when I first started making it.... to what is now is very different...... many fittings and photos has helped with this process :supz:

Hi Tom
No problem, great to meet you. The black hood you swapped was actually sold on to fit a Goldie/Steppe Male (perfectly) :D Neil will be getting a new pattern .... that I was given by one of the Kazakhs ..... for Cinibar. Its a test version .... so keep an eye out for the pics. This pattern is from a different province of Kazakhstan.... so a totally different look to it.
