Does anyone or has anyone flown there BOP on outdoor pig units
If so how do your birds perform with the electric fences. I have been asked by farmers to sort a lot of corvids out its just that I dont want to fly on there incase the hawk brakes its wing when it hits the electric fence any ideas:rolleyes::confused:

Just watch the pigs do not make a meal of your hawk.

My birds occassionally take corvids in with the pigs. Not hit any fences yet but admit I always get in as quick as possible in case the pigs trample the bird. Has anyone any experience of this happening. Up to now the pigs have ignored the birds scuffling on the ground, suppose they are used to seeing the corvids in there all the time.

We used to keep a few pigs a while back and on one occasion i had a harris on a bow sat in the yard.
A couple of the pigs pulled a houdini stunt and one was hells bent on getting the harris, almost had to rugby tackle the pig!!!!!!
But remember pigs like a bit of meat and are great opportunists, the crows will just move out of the way but if your hawk is bound to quarry? Be quick!

I shoot alot of corvids on the unit anyway but after a few shots they ****** off tried trapping them but get abit wise to that. They follow the tractor in the morning when we feed the pigs. The corvids must eat a good ton of food a week and my boss is not happy:cry:

Fly them and enjoy the spectacle, but just be aware of the overgrown rashers.
Should be good sport, as corvids are quite willing to carry on trying to outwit you when there is a guaranteed food source.

If your bird is on a kill would a pig kill and eat it?
