Hi Shaun,

Yes love a spot of bassing myself. Usually fish out of Poole. Had an unreal day in 2002 3 doubles and a 9lb fish all on live mackerel. Didn't make it out last summer as I was imprinting a gos and this summer has flown by. Was in Sea Angler with the biggest fish. Will try and dig out the pic's that I have but they aren't digital.

you couldnt use mackrel where i fish for the bass because there are too many tope there here is one for you that i caught one day fishing for bass and it was caught in less than 15 ft of water and all these fish can do is run because there is know where to dive.

was that caught of prestatyn beach. talacker used to be all right for small bass
but can be a bit dangerous at time with incoming tides cutting you off

i go bass fishing all the time. i live at the back of poole harbour and there isnt one time of the year when there isnt a chance of taking a big bass....in the next few weeks i will start spinning for them at a local mark where me and my brother and dad have taken them up to 9lb.

also we have the whole of the "jurrassic coast" which is just alive with bass. about 6 years ago my brother caught an 12lb bass living baiting with a joey just out of kimmeridge bay

Shaun I am going boat fishing on 30th of this month with my two young sons off the coast of Amble Northumberland, Booked on line after visiting this guy web site. I have done very little fishing only the odd time out on boats mostly gigging for cod.
Once fished of the coast of Florida using bait and caught quiet a few fish mostly red snapper.
I am not looking to catch much but would like to have a cod for my supper that night.
I need a few tips mate like what’s the best bait, type of hook arrangement. Honestly when it comes to fishing I am a complete novice. Are there any web sites you can recommend about fishing from boats for the beginner? <g>
Regards Alf.
