Hi All

We are making "kill" lanyards.... for falcons. I use a special "Buck" Knife that has a lanyard hole in the handle. I stick it in the ground with lanyard attached and attach a "sea fishing" swivel hook snap (B/S up to 114lb) to the flying jesse's.... whilst the falcons on the kill.

If the ground is not suitable for pegging then the lanyard could also be attached to a hawking vest on the "D" ring that has been put on the ground next to the kill.

The Lanyard has a reinforced double braid on the swivel attachment for extra strength.

Pics of the lanyard to follow shortly :D

That is an excellent idea! It would beat kneeling in the mud trying to attatch swivel & leash.

What about safety clip glove attachment.. you know what i mean the used to secure you hawk to the fist on field meets etc. if you could make one so it looped though its self with a clip on the other end would be ideal and universal. Mike

Hi All

Here is a pic of the lanyard (http://www.m-jhoods.co.uk/Lanyards.htm) attached to my "Buck" knife..... i find that I can pick up the falcon with this also ...sheath the knife and walk back to the vehicle and tether up properly there :) I also use flying straps that have small metal eyelets on the ends so that the hook snap will go through them :)
