Hi Mick
I' m sure there will be someone who can help on here! Unfortunately I have only ever had male harrises so cant help with any feathers.
I presume she has definately broken the feather and not pulled it out while it was growing down (in the blood)?

it cant be imped with the broken feather but if you can find someone to give you a moulted feather you can cut the broken one further down and imp the new one in, almost everything can be fixed, one way or another :D

Send me an adress Mick and I'll send you some tail feathers to use for imping. Just cut the damaged feather about two inches from the top, cut a replacement to match and imp normally.
Barry.

with all the quarry you catch try this....
keep some feathers to practice imping on , that way when you get round to having to do your own bird you will be confident at it??
look out for things that fit , ie magpie for HH tail etc!!!???
