(if you have a landy or a car with inward facing "****ie" seats you swerve this new law)

Not sure

"15. My vehicle has sideways facing seats in the rear. Does that make a difference?

Yes! Some vehicles such as camper vans and four-wheel drive vehicles are fitted with sideways facing rear seats. A child restraint in a sideways facing seat does not meet the legal requirements. A child restraint has to be fitted to an approved anchorage, which does not include a seat belt on a sideways facing seat. Therefore a child restraint cannot be used on such a seat."

If it "does not meet the legal requirements" does that mean that kids on these seats don't have to have booster seats or does it mean that you can't put any child on them at all?

id say that means a child seat does not have to be used - from the last line it seems this way anyway! theres been loads of controversy and confusion over this!!!

I'm glad they have brought this law in! I for one am fed up seeing mothers on the school run with 3 or 4 kids in the car, all standing up, or hanging out the windows, or sunroof!! Don't they realise that one bump and these kids are dead! I hope the police have a crackdown on it!

(Can't believe I agree with the law for once!)

Although I agree with a child restraint law. An adult seatbelt law is an affront on my personal liberties. I am not hurting anybody by not wearing it.

you could if you were siting behind someone!!! youd go right into the back of them - theres was an advert of it over here which was horrible!!

what is the height restriction? cos (and i dont mean this in offence) but if you are a short person (i.e / e.g. a drawf/midget) do you have to have a child seat??

"Therefore a child restraint cannot be used on such a seat."
in which case, if the kids are sat in this seat without a restraint then there can be no law broken
