could anyone tell me which is the best leather for anklets and jesse's? and could anybody advise the best place to buy a small piece from? just enough for a few sets of anklets and jesse's! the leather i have been using doesn't apear to be up to the job as my female pere/prairie seems to be able to chew through it for fun! not sure what the leather is. Any advice would be appreicated. Cheers KEV

go to westweald falconry, www.westwealdfalconry.co.uk
try on ebay and find a seller named amazingoz you can get a full hide for around £60 may be you can split it with someone it will last ages

Im looking for enough leather to make a few jesses and anklets, but i dont want to buy 1/4 0r 1/2 as this would be too much, if any one has any spare to sell would you please help me out, not too many people i know to even approch to buy some??

Is your falcon a young bird? I've only ever had them ripping anklets & jesses
when first taken-up.
If they are unhappy with them for any reason (too tight, too hard) they will tear through anything.
