Hi All
Another great day out today...... he is starting to click now.... I had him "on" weight today and he meant business. Pitch was better today .... he was a good 150ft...... but the take was a running partridge that broke cover with three others as the GSP put pressure on them. Hamish took a sharp turn in and hit the Partridge as it was running to cover and sent it tumbling and threw up and nailed it whilst it was stunned. 2nd Partridge of the season now..... so things are looking up.
This game is always better when you have good company

Hi Dean
Many thanks, I want to get a couple of "Stylish" flights out of him before I take you up on the offer. When the rape is a bit higher I want to get some busting pheasant for him.... when he is knocking them down..... i think the ducks should be a go'er :)

Well done Griff, I know just how much effort you must have put into his training so far.
My tiercel missed a wild grey partridge yesterday.

Hi Terry
Thanks for that, I know its "shoot" land.... but hey!....what better land to enter a Tiercel on :supz: It means that when we get onto some "real" land ..... it will make the game an even better one if we take :D
Nice one Griff, Is this a old dog you’re flying over or is it just its markings? Alf.

Hi Alf
Yes he is an old fella ..... he is about 6-7 .... and really knows his business... I have been out twice with him.... and he has made all the difference. Steady on point ...will go in on command and is built like a TANK :D Excellent nose... no false points.... and will let you know if nothing is there by his attitude.... great example of the breed. He can even take a dump and work at the same time... real multi tasking :D

Hi Mike
Yes I am .... I am looking at a couple of breeds.. but it will be a bit of time before I have one of my own...... I have two useless house pets now.... have to wait for one to move on before I get another.
Can’t beat an older reliable dog they make good hawks.
Have a mad young pup that could **** a good hawk<g> only kidding she is turning out a good dog  Alf.

Hi Neil
It seems like a long time ago..... nearly got kidnapped on the way out as well
All the work is paying off, the kills are not pretty at the moment .... but I will take them as they come .... and his style will only get better! I look forward to saying that he has taken a Cock bird from 5-600ft over an open field in a hard stoop.... lets see if that happens before the end of the season.
Those hats are keeping many a bald spot warm :supz:

Hi All
Excercise flight today to burn off some weight ..... marked difference in him today.... really focused and great waiting on...... he still is around 150-200 but as I walked the whole length of the field he stuck with me... when the throw lure came out he had a small stoop in and bound to it at the top of its arc taking it to the floor ..... on appraoch he was fully pumped ...lol another 1/8 oz and ready to go again :D
Gotta admit it griff, when i see jims tiercel clippin an a stoopin, does make me a tad green and want a peregrine back in the fray! Missin the awesome barrelling and vertical teardrop shut!
