A man from France must to be in the breeder "black list". This man pretend to be a falconer but is only a bird keeper.

He had mess several breeders in UK, ordered birds and never payed and collected them.

I write this thread just because this man is a shame us, and because some breeders will no longer (and I understand them) sell bird to french.

I will give the name to all breeders interested......

I think I became victim from this man. He ordered a female harris and a Otus bakkamoena this year. He often called to know how the birds were doing and asked for photos. When the birds were ready for collection we aggreed a date that he would come but hours before he was supposed to be there he sent a message that he couldn't come. Four times he made a new appointment and never showed up.

The same man also ordered a musket from a friend of mine and the same happened over there. He never showed up.

This man seems to know every single breeder of bop in Europe, has pictures of there birds and knows the prices they ask. I suggest that no-one answers his questions anymore from now on. His name is Didier Letot and he lives in Orleans in France. The e-mailadress he uses is oxoby.sandrine@......

Does he not pay deposits on these birds? Is he not required to? Seems to me most of the bigger outfits ask for a 20-25% deposit up front at reservation, and the rest upon pickup or shipping. Perhaps you guys need to start demanding deposits from potential customers.

Yes I've been waisting my time with this guy two years in a row and I decided to stop answering...emails and phone calls from him. I have enough time waisters like that overhere ordering and cancelling some times I even come to think it's a joke

Hes a pain in the ass, we never take any orders without a deposit, having said that, the UK has many timewasters the same, sorry to say, so lets have a blacklist of UK mess pots has well, :-x

I was mess myself by this guy. I enter in contact with him by an english breeder (a forum member) because we both had ordered birds from him.

After few calls, I really thought that he was a falconer and that he was trusworthy.

As he didn't get his bird that year, I helped him to get a bird the year after.
The breeder who had total confidence in me accepted to imprint a big female finnish gos for him without deposit. The bird ready to go, he change his mind!!!

Several other breeders from spain, belgium, holland and austria was messed by the same way.

This guy has a brain problem, he stay all the day on internet searching after bop for sale and contacting breeders!!!!

After investigation, I learnt that he never trained a bop, he only had a second hand harris hawk that died by his fault... He actually have a finnish male from Paul Mechianov who stay all day on a bow and never go outside because he don't have land and don't know how to train him.

Mick, he is not a "classic" timewaster, there is a big difference between a guy who change his mind, and this guy who already know that he have not the money and the place when he contact the breeder.

He has a very very small garden, and in one year he ordered and mess, finnish gosses,harrisses,perlin, bonellis and botted eagles, black spars, european spars, differents owls, and forgot spizaetus and bicolors hawks.......... I am sure that the list is longer!!

I had this guy on the phone 5 times in one afternoon a few weeks ago. He said he couldn't speak english and I can't speak french so he emailed me. he agreed to buy bird and wanted to come over in two weeks time. I told him I wanted £50 deposit and he agreed to put it into my account. He said it had gone in but would take a week from french bank to mine. he emailed constantly wanting pictures etc.
Someone on this forum wanted the bird so I gave Didier an ultimatum. if cash wasn't in my account within 48 hours he lost bird. I never heard from him again and bird is going to forum member. At least I can relax knowing she is now going to good home and not some plonker in france (no offence to french, just this particular plonker)
Do we have any idea if he could be a member on this forum?

I was just in touch with an austrian breeder, he was too mess by the same guy!!!!
