A girl I met told me how the Cumbria Air Ambulance saved her fathers life by taking him to a The Freeman Hospital in Newcastle. He had three cardiac arrests on the way. which thanx to them he managed against all odds, to survive. She is now trying to organise events to repay them in some small way. One of which is by collecting used postage stamps. If anyone has any would you please send them to this address K Hughes, 53 Lawson St, Aspatria, Cumbria CA7 3DR. This also got me thinking that if any of us were injured it would be very unlikely that they would be able to get a conventional ambulance onto the moor or remote hawking ground to extract us it could be one of us one day. So if you do have any unwanted used stamps please send them to the above address! THANX <K>
