Hi All

Desgined this hood last night..... available in all block sizes ...both Rollins and Tait.

Griff, did you get the compasses out or was it done the way we have discussed before?

That hood was "ULTRA" burnished...... with a very light sheen..... quality of the kip leather helps :D

That hood took three hours from conception to dry on the block....

Hi Tim

The method I use for all my own patterns is the same technique I used when designing shoes in the shoe trade. Put simply.... you are using the block itself to create the pattern..... its then taken off the blocks and put down on paper into a 2D image ..... then just smartened up..... and a template made.

Perhaps thats best left to "Rough ****s" like me who are making it up as they go along :rolleyes: :lol: :yawinkle:

Tim ....... if your "Rough ****" method is producing hoods like you have done for BenC's FHH.... then your not doing badly:supz:

My aim is to develop a "Smooth ****" method in the near furure.

Pattern development was my first trade but sadly for engineering solutions not leatherwork :( :rolleyes: :lol:
