CHC meet Jan 2007

I was just wondering how many people on the forum will be at the CHC meet in January. A friend and I will be attending for the first time. I understand from friends in CA that it is not run like the Field meets in the UK and everone splits up and does their own think for the day and just get back together for the evenings.

That is pretty much how the meets are run over here. If you find Shawn Hayes he should be able to hook you up with a couple ppl to go out with. If you can't get ahold of him. Just get there and ask to go out wiht someone with a hawk or falcon on the fist.

Thanks Greg, I do know a few guys in CA, I had one over staying with me two weeks ago. I have a few other friends that have said they will meet me there but my buddy has never been to the US so it will all be very new to him. I see you corrected the forum for me. Thank again.

Not a problem Greg, I am sure you will have a blast. It is a little far for me to dirve so Tasha and I will not be there. You should have come over for the NAFA meet. We had a blast.

Greg - The CHC meet in Topaz should be great this year:supz:. I have been taking a hawking trip to this area for the past few years and it is LOADED with jacks, quail, and bunnies. I did hear the numbers are down a bit this year from a local due to lack of rain but it is still really good. Glad to hear that you are traveling out to make the meet. It is true that everyone splits up to hawk during the day. Given the amount of game and public land in this area it should be no problem for you to find a group to go out with. Hope to see you there! I was at the last meet last January. I came back from CA at the begining of November after a long second visit over the summer so don't think I can get over again for the next meet. (my wife would kill me!)I hope to get over to the following meet and even flying a bird at the meet as well. Bet you don't get many visitors from this side of the pond that can do that. I wish I was comming over but will have to give it a miss this time. Hope all goes well and the meet is a great success!
