Why do people advertise birds for sale and then when you ring with a serious enquiry, they know nothing about the bird they have for sale.
An advert listed saker tiercels for sale, when contacted the owner didnt know the age ( somewhere between the ages of 7 and 11 yrs old I was told), didnt know if they were PR or imprint, thought they were PR, then wanted a high price for them too.
Surely if people want to sell something they should have atleast some basic information.

I don't buy birds, but if I did, I wouldn't buy a bird off of anyone that didn't have all of the informatioon you mentioned. How in the world can you even have a clue of what you are getting? Just my humble opinion!

I would add that the advert wasnt on this site, but maybe I should learn my lesson and talk to an OLD established breeder like Mr Burden .....;)

I hear ya!
The ONLY breeders who have ever replied to my emails are Terry from here and Nick Fox's people. Not a SINGLE other breeder in the UK or Canada seems to know how to answer an email. Now I don't know about the rest of you, but I for one wouldn't be comfortable buying from anyone lacking the ability to read and respond to emails sent through their own websites.
MAHHH! I'm gonna need a beer to come down from this!
Rant over!
