Hi gsp, i have a 2nd season prairie falcon she moulted out perfect , not that she was tatty , but i moulted her loose in a imprint pen , easterly facing good views of the downs were i live , and i fed her on a real good diet as all my birds are , quail , pigeon , carfully inspected first and chicks ,after the moult she sat on the lawn and after a heavy downpour , she was as dry as a bone, i also have a peregrine that i bought in and when it rains she gets soaked , although she is improving , basically its good care and attention, cheers mark.

Give them sand baths, if they refuse to bath in water, use kiddies play pit sand, but make sure that thier anklets are dry before doing this. Give codliver oil as this helps to create a good bloom on the feathers, lots of weathering in light to moderate downpours, but make sure they are dry and preened before being put away for the night.

If all else fails and you are realy desperate then silicone waterproofing spray can be affective.

Thanks all
This was not asked just for myself
A few people on here are flying birds that would have their flying ability afected by all the bad weather we were having at the time this was first posted
If I have an oppertunity to fly I fly. wind and rain won't stop me.
I was thinking of the birds sat on blocks just because it's likely to rain.
A few of you on here are doing clearence work.
I am assuming the birds will still have to be flown and thought your advice would maybe get some of those birds off their blocks.
And I am prepared to listen to any advice that may enhance my own flying
