No Tail Feathers

Hi,
I recently rescued a bird that has no tail feathers at all they are all snapped off at about 2inches due to the cage she was being kept in. I was wondering if there is anyhting I can do to encourage her to drop them and grow them back or will i have to wait till next moult.

what sort of bird is she?

You could imp them, to last until the spring and then she will moult out the imped feathers and replace them with new.

would advise you imp as much as you can with whatever feathers you can, otherwise the first feather that tries to grow though will just snap due to lack of support and protection from the other tail feathers that should be there. make sense??
then just have to wait until the moult and give her some good food.
