View Full Version : Gyr/barbary predictability!
Without a shadow of a doubt the finest hybrid i have gamehawked, high mounting, hard hitting surgical striking, temperement superb, pain in the arse at first due to his merlin style! Have there been any other longwingers with praise for these falcons!:supz:

Hi dean, i had one out at hack with a tiercel peregrine , both imprints , started , tame hack then started to leave them out by themselves , up to 8 hours a day , the g,barbary was about 2 weeks younger than the peregrine , but mentally took a lot longer to grow up , again the peregrine was flying much stronger than the g,barbary and it took him a while to catch up , basically my meaning is i think they are wonderfull birds but maybe some people expect to much to soon , they possibly take longer than say a peregrine to get going , its obviously the gyr, side of it , but i must agree its a lovelly hybred, both birds had about 3 months hack, and at the end of it if they were high and away from me , you couldnt tell which was which , great birds , love to fly a female at gulls , one day , cheers , mark.
