I have a Wild Disabled Female Kestrel here that has been in for months. She has wing damage and can't sustain flight for more than a few minutes. The wing was never broken and none of it is missing. We have tried all methods to get her fit for release but we have finally given up. She laid a clutch of 3 eggs last year so we would guess her age to be coming up to 3 as she had some immature feathers when she was brought in.
I have cleared this with DEFRA to pass the bird on and I will supply a letter showing the circumstances.
