I noticed one of my falcons has started throwing lots of down out this morning, something he does just prior to moulting. ( Well he has the last couple of years anyway. :) ) Anyone else got any birds showing signs of moulting early? I wonder if all this mild weather is going to screw up the breeding season. It's certainly got my bonzi trees in a tizzy.

I put my Harris up right after NAFA and he has dropped 4 tail, 6 secondaries and a bunch of body feathers.

I stopped flying my coops in late October and she has half her tail grown in and 3 primaries on each wing. Hoping to have her ready to fly the March starlings into spring and summer.

Greg, she caught 23 sparrows last year and was just starting to chase starlings and pigeons. So I have really high hopes for her this year. She is nothing like an imprint and I plan on treating her like a passage when I pull her from the weathering area after she finishes molting. It will be interesting, that is for sure! LOL.
