hi
im a beginner and im not shure if i should fly my bird when he is moulting
could anyone tell me if i should fly or not.:P

Who are we talking about here you flying or your bird flying. As for your bird you will find that most of the falconers on here will put their bird down for the moult. This mean you do not fly them and you feed them up with all the good stuff like quail and then sit back and let nature do the rest. :supz:

dont fly thrue the molt m8 it is the time wen the bird nead's its rest and all its energey

If yur bird is in good feather conditiion and not in its first year then you can fly hime through the moult if you wish.
But you have to take into consideration a few things, e.g. younge quary being about and trees having all there leaves on, so you wont be able to see him as easily

its the time of year the bird will be lost as tree coverage and long grass ?? also if it starts catching young rabbits and birds out of nests this will get the bird carring its prey into trees then you will not get it back i would not bother flying through the moult unless on open fields with no quarry ?? and watch the bird doesnt break or damage new feathers in blood as they wount grow back till next season cheers dave
