got to the groudn at 10:30. was just off a full moon, andlittle cloud. not ideal, but bettign than sitting in lol. got into first field, hada little scan, there he was! a rabbit with weird collar like markings. rolf was soon off, the rabbit headed uphill ran into a bit of dense cover, i could hardly see his eyes, but rolf dove it, and heard it. when i got there he had one foot to the head, and one to the front leg. took him up it hunted on. next feild produces 2 long slips, rolf hadnt a chance. then the next fieldprduceda rabbit alogn a ditch, slipped rolf, and the rabbit ran along, then waited for rolf to get within about 2 feet of it, and went down the hole lol. showedhim up. next rabbit was a good 60 yards from cover, it broke well before we got near, but i ran with the lamp to keep it in the beam, was a brilliant flight, with loads of twists and turns, and rolf musta hit it 3 or 4 times before it got into a buch on hay bails. one of the best flights ive ever had with him, really made my night. so anyway, crossed over to the next field and seen a few sittign out a fair distance. rolf flew at them but they werent logn getting down the holes, then he flew of to a fence and sat there, as i said it was too bloody bright. went over to pick him up and in the next field was 2 squatters, i slipepd him at one, but it got 20 feet and into cover, and i couldnt keep the beam on it cos of the fence. headed up that fencelien and crossed, i kenw there was 2 squatters, and i didnt see the otherget up, so headed down the hill, still couldnt see it. then caught its eyes, stuck close to the hedge, and got abotu 20 yards from it. rofl bated, so let him go, he went to strike, and itjumped from the squat and headed to a stoen wall across the feild, rolf got up and followed it, then bang, caughtit right at the wall. two feet to the head. had only been out about 45minutes but decided to call it a night at that. would be pushing our luck trying to go for three in a night like that.
forgot the camera so mate used his fone, and i might get a picof my own fonelater tonight. i alsotook a few pics of the rabbit with the camera when i got home
