Heck Mark it's just getting to that comfortable stage. I'd give it another month, there's not even any mud on the windows for crying out loud.
I like it:supz:

Looked fine to me Jeff! All the vehicles look like that around here in the spring<G> The only problem is he needs a Pick-up with a shell. Keeps dogs, hawks and other stuff out of the cab. I really hate it when something begins to smell after I turn on the heat. Then I have to pull over to find it. With a Pick-up my dog gets all the goodies that fell out of the hawking bag, before they begin to stink

Brad

PS: With a good coating of mud it protects the paint. They don't use salt on the roads around here so mud and road grime are good

I’ve been threatening the clean mine since Christmas……its also getting pretty smelly inside.
Today I was racing over the field hit a hump at about 40mph, all four wheels of the ground and touched down with a bang……Knackered the steering, when you turn a corner the steering wheel will not centre when you let go of it, it just keeps going round the corner.

I’ve got RAC insurance / warranty that I have been taking out for the last 5 years that covers up to £600 for part failure.
Called into the garage on the way home to get it booked in, the chap is filling the form out and asks if it is used off road {not covered for off road use}…..we both look at the land rover and a say “no, its never been off road in its life”…….he smiles, shakes his head and books it in for Friday…..it must have an inch of mud coated on it from the wheels to half way up the doors…

Here's a hint Jeff and Alf. In the middle of the summer the irrigators are going full blast in some of the fields. The one down the road I keep an eye on. When it's next to the road I drive down there and park. So much water comes out of it to give the car an excellent bath. Once the goo is gone I pull up out of the water and dry the car. The farmer paid for my car wash8-)

Swear to god Jeff driving this morning to work the sun was low and after blasting the wash wipers I still couldn’t see out the windscreen almost mounted a curb doing 60.
Parked up at work had to take a clean cloth to the inside of the windscreen for the first time in years and the **** that came off it was nobody’s business.
Believe you me my work van is dirty. Treat my motors like I treat my women. Ride them hard don’t look after them at all, services them when I feel like it and get my moneys worth out of them. They don’t last long but neither do some marriages!. Alf.

Nice threads ,you cant beat a dirty 4x4 its what they were built for , for f***s sake, last season while trying to keep a gull flight in sight i hit a rabbit hole with one of the back wheels , i took off as we came out of it again , got to my falcon , she had caught her gull , but the bloody c.d multiplayer hasnt worked since , cant get the c.ds out also , mark.
