today in school i had nothing to do and was tinking about bells
i just did a bell around my kes here legs but i am not completlie happy about it
but on the tail isn't a good solution for me i think cause she flys alot under wires etc.

now i came with the idee to hang the bell at the under side of the tail and not above. she will problebly not **** on it cause she lifts here tail.
anyone ever done this ? or are ther some dis adventages ?

Its just an idee ! and if i try it, i will think about it some more

flying under wires?
i would worry more about her taking a wing off than the bell getting caught

no no its when she drops out of a tree she dives to the ground and than she floats under the wire she almost never flaps there. and when she does i can only hope she doesn't get anything its always a risk.

you can also fly you're bird in a small room with pilows al over the place and hope she does never fly fast so that she doesn't hit anything ? but were is the fun than ?

how you going to do that then? attach the bell each time you fly her?

basically I don't think it would work because of the aerodynamics - even if you attached it as a double mount onto both centre decks, however light the bell ........... it would pull them through the outside decks and ruin the rest of the tail - a bird is designed for lift .......... not drag :yawinkle: thats why wheels go up when a plane takes off

Tig, that really amused me, i could just picture you flitting around from tree to tree with an ibr ring and a tailmounted transmitter:lol:
although, after seeing your photo I wonder if anyone would have bothered with the transmitter hehehe

a shorter way of describing "the train feathers either side of the centre decks" ....... but now I have had to do it anyway :yawinkle:

ok
cuting the fence :) no option
and when it is under here tail just leave it on at night ?
you don't have to take it off eatch day ?
and the legg bell works but i have the feeling i dont get all the sound out of it
and on top of the tail is still ot risky
backpack isn't an option its redicoules a backpack for a bell
neck is also to risky.
but it doesn't matter it will stay on the legg till the moult (25/2)
and another news ! :supz: my imprint female is loose in 1 aviary with a
"bad" imprint male (i got it for free.... ) and they don't attack eatother anymore :supz:

greetzz
about the male : i got it from someone who didn't wanted it anymore a friend but not a close friend ! he put the bird in a dogbench (iron bars) and the tail was half and the beak was broken. now everything is getting ok he eaven eats pigeon now (only got doc at previous). my plan is to moult this year and try hacking, as he is sooooo scared of people and not even worth a try to fly and has NO condition. if i knew how the bird was kept at the previous i would have taken it away maybe even stole it. but he wanted to lose it, so i got it for free!

There are only two deck feathers, it may have been shorter but it was infact nonsence  :yawinkle:

"The train" is not only the correct terminology but its less typing than "Outside decks" :yawinkle:

Interesting idea, I thing it should work. Maybe you can check if it doesnt make her nervous when she's cleaning fethers on tail.:yawinkle:

Get a life Blackbird.

Do you have anything of worth to add?

Oh I say! a bit pedantic aren't you? still a **** idea ..... but if one wants to be picky, may I point out that: "infact" is actually two words as in:- "in fact" and "nonsence" is spelt "nonsense" - so, do me a favour and get a grip of the english vernacular yourself, before you extract the urine out of other members "descriptive" terms ..... but then I suppose, with the time taken to post over 9000 posts  ....... you obviously spend more time talking a good story  than getting out and doing it ..........................
