hi all my mhh is not molting he lost a tail fether 2 munthes a go but has not lost any sins he is at full whait is this a problam or is it normal

did the feather drop or did it come out as the result of some kind of accident?

Bit early to expect birds to be moulting isnt it?....not that im any expert mind you

he dropt it his self ps i put himt to molt 3 munthes ago mf fhh is all ready don the molt but my mail isant molting

is he at fat weight and do you leave lights on in his pen to make the day longer for him

he is at fat weight ye and no ther is no lights in the pen

try putting a light on as the days are still short they normaly need longer hours of light

may still be a little early for your hawk to moult as the light days are not here yet as in light very early and sun goes down about half nine at nite this is when the moult kicks in unless timer lighting is put in the mews to force the moult cheers dave

i see what u mean but haw cume my fhh as done her molt and they whear put down at the same time

no m8 mhh brok his talon so i had to pu him down and my fhh i desisdid to put her down erley
