View From the front, I have gone with this beak opening as it has as a more universal fit for both hawks and falcons. I think it suits this hood, pattern by Dennis Maynes.

Hi Ken,
Give me a pm when they are in production and I'll try one for the female pere.
I have made some anglo-indian types but she always manages to remove them. The dutch style is a better fit for her. I like the idea of a one-piece dutch style as the ones I have tried to make in the past have failed as I always muck up the stitch alignment. Ive got a better shape with the glued weyburn pattern you sent me but not yet to the standard good enough to use on a bird.

All the best,

Mark.

Chris agreed, I am sending the hood to Longgwing, I just made the pattern and placed it on a block suitable for a larger female peregrine. Now that I have a block fitting I am going to make one for my redtail/Harris hawk, I will then post pictures.
The hood was not made for Longgwings bird but hopefully the size will be right on and Mark can show how it fits on a falcon..I make 4 sizes for female per's

Very nice Ken and as Tim said the stitching is very tidy. How long does this hood take you to make from start to finish.

Thanks Saker-Mad, I hardly ever make green hoods. I like it, Finnish, that is the beauty of this hood start to finish without drying time , about an hour.. It comes together nicely, and is easy to sew. I think it is a good, very affordable field hood for both falcon or hawk..

Thanks Stealth, I was getting frustrated making all the same hood and I needed to take a break and get something different going, I also was able to get a Buteo hood completed for George that was long over due, Thanks for your patients(sp) on this George.
