A mate of mine has asked me to find out if anyone has or can source any Redtail semen. He has a 10 year old parent reared female which he has flown/hunted since she was born who has decided she wants hime for a mate.
He has tried unsuccesfully in the past to get a suitable mate for her.
Harris semen would also be a consideration but Redtail is preferred.
If anyone out there knows of anyone give me a pm.
All the best,
Mark.

I would think so too but when my friend enters her pen she is crouching lifting her tail and showing her cloaca already. He always planned to bred her naturally but as she is doing this now he asked me to put the request out.

It wouldn’t surprise me 10 years without a male and the only other possible sexual partner his her falconer it’s enough to turn any girls head.:yawinkle: Alf.

All i can put it down too is the length of time they have been together. She did last season start displaying and calling to the wild buzzards flying overhead. This time she seems to have picked him. If I were her though and he was my only choice Id stay single!
It would be great to get her AI'd and see what her offspring turned out like though.

Just had a call from my mate for an update.
In his words 'Shes absolutely gagging for it' so if anyone out there has any male reds/ferrus even Harris's producing semen I would appreciate a PM.
All the best,
Mark.

The b1tch is at it again!
She has started calling to the local wild buzzards and has put some sticks onto her platform. My friend doesn't reckon its gonna be long before she starts displaying to him again. Aparrently she's starting to show signs as he enters her aviary to clean it.
If any of you people out there may have a male Red that may be producing semen in the next couple of months Id appreciate a PM.
I've always fancied a chance to fly one of her offspring. She is a cracking hunter and flies at 2lb 14oz hunting weight.
Cheers,
Mark.

I know someone here in the US who has produced young with a single, willing wild caught red tail female.

Cool!
My mate bought her when she was 2 years old and he's had 9 seasons with her so although she is parent reared I can only put it down to the length of time they have bonded.
I have always wanted to see what an offspring from her would be like.
She's very laid back and has a brilliant temperament, when shes hunting though she will crash through the thickest cover to whack her quarry.

My first redtail was trapped (obviously) and she became a screamer and behaved just like an imprint. I think that this is not uncommon for redtails. I hope that your friend finds some semen for his randy redtail.
All you have to do now is find someone who is crazy enough to have an imprint doner! Flew an imprint MRT once never again!

The desire to reproduce overshadows interspecies differentiation.
Or to put it another way she's h*rny and she does care what you look like.

That's the rub.
(IMHO) Females can be managed when they come into breeding condition. If you don't have a doner, and you know what to look for you can pretend to service her and she shouldn't try to kill you.
(AIUI) An imprint male, as Greg says and others, not so nice. He would think of you as the female and always looking to defend his food. When in breeding condition, would want to get on with it or get a new heart throb.:heart:
