I couldnt work the scanner so took a photo of a photo with my phone

The Story: {short version}
My Dad had flown Goshawks from the mid 60`s, after 20 years with Goshawks he got a Female Red Tail in about 1983 / 84.
While looking through an American Falconry magazine he came across the chap above who was also flying his first Red Tail.
They ended writing to each other {falconry pen pals I suppose} but eventually they lost touch.
We have just had the loft upside down but cant find the letters anywhere.

My dad cant for the life of him remember his name, not surprising he’s all on remembering mine.

What he knows. {not a lot}

He’s from Illinois
My Dad is almost certain is wife in Native American and thinks her name is “Shell”.

The back of the Photo:

This is my hawk Tokahe {Toh KAH hay}.
Her name means “the First” in Lakota Sioux Indian.
Also this is me, but not my usual hawking vest.
