Some may be aware that 'Smoking Joe' one of Colin Pass's (FalconQuester) semen donar Tiercels switched teams in Autumn 2006. Colin placed a thread on here that mentioned he 'may' let Joe go as his daughters are coming on line. Needless to say I was interested and a deal was arranged.
Some of you will be aware that swaping semen donars from one person to another can be awkward, and with some birds impossible. So I have treated the young man like a piece of fine china. The result being that hes donated for real today. After having given a small ammount three days ago. Nearly 1/2 an ependorf tube at the first hit, and only two days later than he gave to Colin last season!!!!
Once again Colin thank you for letting me have him in the first place, and all the advice where hes concerned. Top man and top tiercel.:supz:
Good to hear it was a smooth move for him. I must say "Smokin Joe" is a quality name for a bird. :supz: And congrats on the semen contribution!

Im well happy with the boy. Hes fathered stunning falcons for Colin in the past and hes had some great feed back on his young. Colins first comment was 'Thats great! Can I have him back now please?' LOL. Joe is a tribute to Colins imprinting and semen donar training skills.
Makes a lot of sense when you’re a small breeder and you have kept young females back that you have bred to be able to pass on a semen donor father or swop it for another just increases you chances of having the room to take on other birds.
Best chance of getting the real McCoy 100 percent guaranteed giver.
Really pleased you turned this tiercel round I bet with the bond it had with Colin it could have gone either way.
Great job and a great job from Colin for passing this tiercel on. Alf.

Hello Karl,
Really pleased for you mate, Joes as steady as a rock, if he produces
anything like the progeny he was throwing whilst with Colin then your
a lucky man.
A very prolific and consistent semen donor, well imprinted by a man
who knows his stuff.
All the best for the season Karl.
Regards Mike.

Space was also the major issue as Colin can only carry a compact team.
Lucky you then to get such a bird. Alf
