Right, it seems I was ******ing up another thread so, has anyone got experience of the Covatutto 120 incubator for use not with raptors, but quail, pheasant etc?

I'd welcome any comments......

Hi Matt
I don't know if this is much help, but I've been given the loan of a Cuvatutto 40 to incubate some pheasant eggs for a small local syndicate. I have 50 p/eggs in it at the moment. It seems to hold its temp ok. There doesn't appear to be any means to take a reading from a wet bulb thermomter at the same time, so I'm having to swap the dry bulb with my Brinsea wet bulb unit. I THINK I'm managing to hold the RH within acceptable parameters.
Anyway maybe we can compare notes???
Cheers
M

The cov 120's allways worked well and alot of the smallhaolders swear by them, the only thing that lets them down is the build quality as they are very fragile and the hinge's on the doors arnt great. However if your getting the automatic version its only a few quid more for one of the mercurious machines and the quality is alot better plus you get digital set and display thermostat and built in wet bulb thermometer.

Thanks for that info, but I've already got a covatutto and was advised by someone I know who had one to run it dry. Just wondered what others did.
