Ok for all of you with Golden Eagles. I have been asked today to supply a Golden Eagle for a very very brief piece of filming in Dumfries.

A film company are working with an artist called Henry Coombes who is trying to recreate an old picture called Death of A Stag In Glen Tilt (done by the same guy that painted Monarch of the Glen (Landseer)) adding an eagle flying in to feed on a gralloch next to a deer carcass. That's all that is needed, an eagle to fly in to a carcass two or three times. I can't do it as I have only one Golden Eagle and she is barrel fat in an aviary and the filming is planned for Friday!!!

The finished picture which is to be an abstract is to be used to represent Scotland at the Venice Art Show.

If anybody out there fancies being part of this recreation and has a Golden Eagle flying the budget allocated by the film company is £300.

PM me if you are interested.

Barry.

Sorry Barry, Elsa has been fattened up since end of March. Her last flying of the season funny enough was for filming and photographic work.

Good luck

Tom

Cheers anyway Tom.
For simply getting the image we are going to use a Tawny tomorrow. It was funny today putting a Tawny into a Roe carcass, looked like a pimple on a pigs arse as he tried to pull at the bucks tongue. Safe to say that even though RubyTuesday caught a crow with her Tawny yesterday, I'll not be catching deer with mine!!!!!!!!!!

Hold on does this mean that there is a Golden Eagle in the Dumfries area! And I didn't know about it!! AHHH whoever it is would they consider letting me come along in the summer and watching them fly it and maybe even take a few photos? These birds are so amazing- I went up to Mull in early Easter last year to see them and almost froze in the B&B who didn't put the heating on; paid for a nature tour and saw dots... lol he assured use some were Sea Eagles, some were Goldies and one was even a Peregrine  lol sure think he was thinking more towards his tip; hey he found us an Otter- he got a good tip! lol we even paid for my bro who had to stay in the car ill; we had booked a seat so only fair...
