So more like the Welsh International Hawking Club then :supz:
An interesting night, with the usual attendees. Following abit of a restructure the regional committee is now;
Regional Chairman - Steven Lambert
Regional Secretary - Frank Pitts
Regional Treasurer - Paul Cuthbert
Regional Field Co-ordinators
- Terry Cadwallander (Shortwings)
- Malc Bergwin (Broadwings)
- Position Vacant (Longwings)
Some great ideas were discussed and we are now in process of arranging our field meets for the season.
Regards,
Steven Lambert.

Shame the club aint being held at the venue it was before the re-form (York  )...we had some good members there then Steve...Just a shame Malcom moved down south.
Have the YFC lost its valued member for good? wont seem the same without You two on the stand come the Falconry Fair:roll:

Its a lot closer for me where it is Kev  , still not on the doorstep mind. Yorkshire is full of WHC members but we only get a handful attending meetings which is a shame, as so much could be done if everyone tried to support their region :yawinkle:
I'll still be at the FFs and such, I'll just be further up the row.
ATB,
Steve.
P.S. I'll try an get up to the next NEFC meeting if you'll be there?

If this was the problem, suggestions could me made to move the region. At the moment all you would do is make current attendees have further to travel. The Yorkshire Region is the closest for people as far south as Loughbrough to Kevin. I think location wise we are about right.

The point I am trying to make Here Steve is there were member traveling down from Catterick also from Filey , Bridlington ,Hull ,Harrogate Stamford bridge and York (well they would)
Some where like Tadcaster or Weatherby would be prime for a yorkshire club Easy access....The Nefc Has almoast got it perfect;)

I understand what you are saying Kevin but at present all you would do is make the current attendees travel further, unless these people show an interest and ask for the region to move I cant see why the region would want to make its current attendees travel further with no justifiable cause?
What I'm also trying to get across is the Yorkshire Region doesnt just cater for people in Yorkshire. We are the closest region for people in Derbyshire (like myself) Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Leicestershire since the Midland Region closed, probably a few other counties too.
I think we are located pretty well to cater to all these other counties, who otherwise would have to travel to Essex or Wales to attend a meeting.
I will of course bring up your proposal at the next meeting.
ATB,
Steve.

Pmsl.... let them get there own flipping region then:lol: Everyone wants to be "Yorkshire" these days....including me.
How many attend the meetings at the moment Steve? and a question you could ask is if the club meetings were at say Tadcaster for arguments sake would they Travel to the meetings ( I bet they would travel 4 times a month to malham For field meets though:twisted: )

On a good month 15-20 about a third of those paid up WHC members this region is the closest for.

So In your true opinion the club fits in perfectly to fullfill the area where the NEFC Ends:?:

I think thats a good way of putting it Kevin, there would be little point moving just to be in direct competition with the NEFC (and BFC for that matter).

With the Welsh Hawking club being more of a national club...it does make sense for the club to be represented in a bigger catchment area.
